The activity is a general orientation on Buklod and Tuklas, the new library services platform and discovery tool (OPAC) of the University of the Philippines System. The activity was conducted on 11 July 2023 at the new Learning Commons of the College of Engineering Library, UP Diliman.

The discussions includes the Buklod and Tuklas: Summary of Updates/Enhancements, Status of Implementation, and Software Roadmap by Mr. Chito N. Angeles, Project Lead and Chair, Information Systems Implementation and Technical Support Committee; Cataloging Module Updates/Enhancements by Mr. Anthony N. Atuel & Ms. Michelle G. Ann Manalo, Cataloging and Metadata Services Section; Circulation Module Updates/Enhancements by Ms. Elizza Mae L. The launching of Documentation Website was also conducted led by Mr. John Christopherson L.T. Fredeluces, head of Strategic Communication, Research and Marketing Section to help the CUs on their queries regarding the new library platforms.

Tuklas (OPAC) will replace the iLib while the Buklod will be used by UP Baguio Students, Faculty, and employees to search library resources and track their library transactions including new title recommendations.
Moreover, the orientation is a follow-up learning session on the enhancement of features on the different major modules of the two databases as a result of the observations/recommendations during the training that was conducted in February 2023 in UP Baguio including the other implementing campus unit.

The Tuklas and Buklod was officially deployed on June 19, 2023 in UP Baguio. These are also available for access through the university library website
