PHOTOGRAPH COLLECTIONS
Baguio Photos from the 1900s to the 1940s and more.
•Kalinga Tattoos – Donated by Prof. Analyn Salvador-Amores, these are 13 inches x 18 inches black and white photographs mounted on wood depict the Kalinga traditional process of tattooing and the different tattoo designs.
•Selected Baguio Photos from the 1900s to the 1940s – These framed black and white photographs, reproduced from the American Historical Collection at the Ateneo de Manila University and the Ang Chiao Hun Collection were donated by Mr. Michael Francis Ang, a former faculty of the Department of History and Philosophy of the College of Social Sciences.
•The Suyoc People Who Went to the Fair Photos – Framed black and white photos of people from Suyoc in northern Benguet province, who were exhibited in the 1904 St. Louis International Exposition in St. Louis, Missouri.
•The Ibaloys of Benguet Photos – With Ibaloy culture and society as its central theme, these black and white photos were turned over to the Archives by Prof. Analyn Salvador-Amores.
•The Worcester Photos – These black and white images are from the exhibit, “Picturing Empire: Race and the Lives of the Photographs of Dean C. Worcester in the Philippines,” held in March 2013 at the Center for Southeast Asian Studies, International Institute, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA.
